the paris wife.

I just finished reading The Paris Wife (thanks to our long flights to and from Indiana for Memorial Weekend) and I highly recommend that you add it to your summer reading list. It is a wonderful story of Ernest Hemingway's first wife, Hadley, and her life with Ernest. Paula McLain takes you through their life together, giving the details of the ups and downs of their marriage and pulls in some well-known characters from that time period, which makes it all that much more interesting. We all know how it ends since it is no big secret that Ernest had 3 other wives after sweet Hadley, but of course I still managed to shed a few tears at the end. Poor hubby thought something bad was happening to our plane when he woke up to me crying and frantically eating gummy bears {nope, just my over-emotional self enjoying my book}.

I'd love to hear your comments on the book!

  1. Seriously, I woke up, took one look at Meghan and assumed the plane was going down and Meghan thought Gummy Bears would give her wings.
